The Brain Team

Did you know that less-than-desirable life experiences have a funny way of sticking in your brain, making you hold onto things for way too long?

If you feel like you are living in a frozen state and stuck in the shadows of your past, then know that you are not alone. Like others before you, you have experienced challenging and painful experiences. But that’s why you’re here today, you are ready to let go and start your next chapter.

Now…

Imagine living a life where you are fully present, peaceful, and balanced. A life where your past hurts and painful experiences no longer impact your career, performance, current relationships, mentality, or life. That is where the power of Brainspotting comes in, to release emotionally charged experiences that are stored in your brain and body.

What is Brainspotting Therapy?

Brainspotting (BSP) is an alternative therapy uniquely effective when addressing brain, body, and emotional problems. Our clients seek Brainspotting treatment for healing from stress, anxiety, depression, and releasing mental blocks. Brainspotting can help you process and release your negative thoughts, unhealthy coping mechanisms, emotional pain, and difficult past experiences. All of which keep you from thriving in the present.

But beyond that, Brainspotting is also highly effective in expanding and maximizing your creative potential, allowing you to bloom in your newfound self. Brainspotting has proven success working with high-performance athletes, stage, film, TV actors, high net-worth individuals, and those experiencing grief and loss.

Literally, anyone with a nervous system can benefit from Brainspotting without having to “talk about it.”

How Does Brainspotting Work?

Brainspotting is a powerful and focused treatment that identifies, processes, and releases the core neurophysiological sources of your emotional trauma, physical pain, and other challenging symptoms. The critical difference between Brainspotting and other therapies is that Brainspotting uses our field of vision to find our hidden obstacles and challenges.

Based on the idea that “where you look affects how you feel,” Brainspotting accesses your subcortical brain through your vision by offering a window into your deep brain structure. Our eyes and brains are intricately woven together, where signals are sent from the eyes into the deep processes of the brain.

Reflexively and intuitively, we redirect where we look when we start scanning the brain and seeking the specific internal spot where the trauma or subconscious obstacle is stored. Once you have identified your obstacle, we will work towards releasing and resolving your trauma and pain.

Together with your mental health educator, you will discover that what is in your brain is also in your body. And what is in your body is also in your brain.

How we can help

The role of our Brainspotting educator is to set and hold a frame that promotes your self-healing capacities.

Our mental health educators will listen to your words and body experiences by observing your eyes, face, and body. They are trained to watch for reflexive cues on the premise that the brain is self-healing.

They will work with you to locate your “Brainspots” that impact your daily life. With the use of bilateral music, your coach will identify a point in your field of vision which will guide you to focus on your issues.

You don’t have to talk about your feelings. You just have to be ready to explore what your brain and body tell you. Your coach will help you do just that. By moving a pen or pointer in a specific pattern in front of your eye, they will identify your Brainspots that are stored deep in your brain. By recognizing the reflexive signals of a Brainspot, you can then work through your trauma, emotional or somatic problems and start your healing process.

Working with
Debi Mann has been one of the biggest blessings in my life!

I processed through and healed from more trauma in my first 3 sessions with Debi doing Brain Spotting than I had in a combined 15 months of counseling/talk therapy with 3 different counselors.

I fully believe in the benefits of Brain Spotting and can’t wait to continue working with her to assist me in making positive changes in my life and with my body image.

Brain Spotting and working with Debi has changed my life!!!

Debi and her team opened my eyes to the world of brainspotting.  Candidly, it was something I was quite skeptical about but my family and I have seen amazing and almost immediate results.  I highly recommend this to folks across all spectrums and ages.

Working with Debi has given me such relief from anxiety as well as given me the tools to support myself in my everyday life. The self knowledge that brainspotting gives is powerful and I am thankful for it. It has given me back peace and a connection to myself that I thought I had lost. Thank you, Debi

I wasn't able to sleep following a very traumatic experience at work. As a first responder, I was maxed out and thought this is just how my life would be. Debi calls things as she sees them (NO BS) and I appreciated her directness and how effective the Brainspotting was after the first session. I am recommending Debi and The Brain Team now to my colleagues.

I did Brainspotting to help me lose weight, not only did it work for that but it helped me manage my anxiety Thanks, Debi

I worked with Tammi on some old patterns that I could not get over (PTSD-C) and in 2 sessions I felt better and noticed my triggers were way less in dealing with everyday life. I highly recommend this even if you have tried talk therapy or EMDR in the past.

For me, brainspotting felt like housekeeping in the brain. I had all kind of junk stored up there that I just needed help getting rid of. Stuff I didnt even realize I was hanging onto. By hyper-focussing on one single issue, you're able to go down a rabbit hole, if you will, and create a path way to the door to let it go. The day after a session I always feel amazing. Lighter. The absence of anxiety over certain issues is such a relief. I am able to think more clearly and not perceive so many things as 'issues' This has enabled me to set healthy boundaries without a care of other's opinions. Thank you Debi
